I just finished playing the downloadable demo and thought it was absolutely fabulous! It has beautiful graphics. My fiance was watching me and commented, "You sure like wierd games like that don't you?" ^_^ I love platform games, RPGS, and ANYTHING to do with Japanese cultures/samurais/ninjas/martial arts.
I thought the gameplay was super easy to learn and the quick time events were nice (kicking a tree to shake off fruit, which you can then pick up to heal yourself). I liked the different items you could collect as well...flowers, ginger, etc.
One of my favorite parts in the game is that when you kill an enemy they transform into animals (this totally appeals to the child in me and makes me think of Viva Pinata/or Sonic The Hedgehog with their different Chao (CHOW) animals you release) and by using Spirit Form you can inhabit any animal! I had fun hopping around and croaking like a frog, being a chicken, rabbit and the boar/bears are so cute (PANDAS anyone?!)
The weapons are neat too, shurikens, bombs, your sword of course and Futo's hammer! What a fat Sumo type guy! Too many daifuku maybe? *laughs*
You also have a fishing pole in your inventory but I'm not quite sure how to use it...I see the fish swimming around and the question mark that talks about using the fishing pole doesn't really explain (press A now or whatever) so maybe the full version uses it in better context (or I could just read the instruction booklet)
This will go on my long list of games to buy! :)
